This Cookie Notice explains how DealerPointe, LLC (“DealerPointe,” “we,” “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our public website at www.dealerpointe.com (the “Website”) and in the Censa™ application (“Censa”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your browser or device. They let the site remember information, such as whether you are signed in. “Similar technologies” include local storage, pixels and scripts that work in a similar way. In this Notice we call all of these “cookies.”

Cookies can be “session” cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or “persistent” cookies, which remain until they expire or you delete them. “First-party” cookies are set by us. “Third-party” cookies are set by another company.

2. Why We Use Cookies

We use cookies to make the Website and Censa work, and to keep Censa secure. We do not use cookies to track you or to show you advertising.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

3.1 Essential cookies

Essential cookies are needed for the service to work. They cannot be switched off in our systems. The main essential cookie is the Censa sign-in session cookie. When an invited user signs in to Censa (using a 6-digit sign-in code we email or, for users who choose two-step sign-in, a code from their authenticator app), Censa sets a session cookie so the user stays signed in and so we can confirm that requests come from that user. The session ends after 30 minutes without activity and after 12 hours in any case. The user must then sign in again. Without it, Censa cannot work.

The public Website does not set cookies to track visitors. Our hosting provider may use a strictly necessary cookie to keep the Website secure and working.

3.2 Analytics cookies

We do not use analytics cookies on the Website or in Censa.

3.3 Marketing and advertising cookies

We do not use marketing or advertising cookies, and we do not allow third parties to place advertising cookies on the Website or in Censa.

3.4 Third-party services

When you book a call, the scheduler provided by Microsoft Bookings may set its own cookies. When you join a Microsoft Teams call, Microsoft may set its own cookies. These third parties control their own cookies under their own privacy and cookie policies.

4. How to Manage Cookies

Cookie settings on our Website: Because we use only essential cookies, we do not display a cookie banner.
Browser settings: most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies. Check your browser’s help pages for instructions. If you block essential cookies, you will not be able to sign in to Censa.

5. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Do Not Track. Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is no common industry standard for responding to DNT. Because we use only essential cookies, there is nothing for a DNT signal to turn off.

Global Privacy Control. Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a browser setting that tells websites you want to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. We will still honor a GPC signal as an opt-out if we ever begin doing so.

6. Changes to This Notice

We may update this Notice when we change the cookies we use or when laws change. We will post the updated Notice on the Website and change the “last updated” date above.
