DealerPointe has developed the industry’s first comprehensive ancillary products and vehicle service contract (VSC) designed specifically for subscription and rideshare services. In 2019, DealerPointe partnered with AUL Corp to design protection products to support subscription/rideshare companies and dealers who offer these new services. Companies and Dealers can pay on a month-by-month basis for protection(s) and can stop coverage at any time.
“Subscription service provides consumers with a new pathway to vehicle ownership and provide many valuable benefits for today’s dealers. While subscription providers can utilize these products to enhance the consumer experience, dealers protect their inventory from unexpected everyday occurrences that can be costly to repair. It also provides higher F&I penetration from consumers that would not normally purchase warranty products at the time of sale.
The subscription/rideshare VSC offers many of the coverage options for vehicles still under factory powertrain warranty and mimics the factory bumper-to-bumper coverage. It also gives dealers the ability to offer coverage on multiple brands as well as hybrid and electric vehicle components. While the ancillary products cover excessive cost of repairs with Tire and Wheel coverage, Paint-less Dent Repair, Interior Protection, and Roadside Assistance. DealerPointe utilizes the most current loss ratio data available to generate customized quotes for their clients based on inventory and market.
